Reth Earns STATS FCS Honorable Mention

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – For the second-consecutive week, Northern Iowa earned a STATS FCS Honorable Mention with the announcement of senior Adam Reth claiming the honor for his efforts on special teams.

The recognition comes a week after Rickey Neal was named a STATS FCS Honorable Mention on the defensive side of the ball.

Reth, a senior defensive tackle from Manchester, Iowa, erased six potential points against North Dakota State after blocking back-to-back field goal attempts. On defense, Reth also earned 10 tackles against the Bison.

Reth became the first Panther in program history to block two field goals in a single game. The total moved Reth into a tie for eighth overall at UNI for most blocked kicks in a single season.

This season, Reth has started every game for the Panther defensive line and is third on the team in tackles with 52 on the year.
