Taylor Named MVC Swimmer of the Week

ST. LOUIS--Katie Taylor has been named the MVC Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Against Illinois State this past weekend, Taylor continued to add to her first place finishes, nabbing first in the 100 backstroke at 57.34. Taylor would first in the 200 backstroke, timing in at 2:03.14. In the 200 IM, Taylor would capture first place again, timing in at 2:08:19. The 200 medley relay time of Taylor, Autumn Roepsch, Crystal Florman and Molly Lembezeder nabbed a time of 1:46.69.

Earlier this season, Taylor created new school records in the 100 and 200 backstroke events, as well as the 200 and 400 IM events.

Taylor was also swimmer of the week earlier this season.
