Santos, Lopez to Play for Titles

DES MOINES, Iowa--Senior Astrid Santos will play for a singles title on Sunday at the Robert Knapp Invitational.

Santos secured a victory over Faith Lee of North Dakota in the B Flight quarterfinals, 6-1, 6-1. Santos would defeat Rylee Tucker of Nebraska-Omaha in the semifinals match, 7-5, 6-1.

Senior Elvira Lopez will play in the consolation title match in the singles A Flight. Lopez defeated Michaela Henne of Creighton, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5) in the quarterfinals. Lopez also secured a victory over Michelle Lo on Nebraska-Omaha, 6-4, 6-4.

Junior Gisela Kemper would lose to Joely Lomas over Drake University, 6-3, 7-5. Lomas will meet Santos in the B Flight finals tomorrow.
