Softball Releases Fall Schedule

University of Northern Iowa softball coach Ryan Jacobs has released the Panthers 2016 fall schedule, which will feature an opener against Upper Iowa University on Sun., Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. at Robinson-Dresser Field.

The schedule will include a matchup against Kirkwood Community College on Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m. The Panthers will play Iowa Central Community College on Sept. 21 at 4:30 p.m., followed by a contest with Mount Mercy University on Sept. 28 at 4:30 p.m.

UNI will host the All-Iowa Classic from Sept. 30 - Oct. 2. The Panthers will open the tournament going head-to-head against Iowa at 6 p.m. on Sept. 30. The next game Panther game will be against Iowa State on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. UNI will end the tournament with a battle against Drake Oct. 2 at 4 p.m.

Panther softball will close out the fall season in a tangle with DMACC on Oct. 5 at 4:30 p.m.

The annual softball hit-a-thon will occur on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. in Cedar Falls. Last year, the softball team was just shy of raising $30,000 for the program.
