UNI to Host Exhibition vs Minnesota State, Mankato

The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team will open its home schedule Tue., Aug. 16, with an exhibition match against Minnesota State, Mankato. It will be the Panther's second exhibition of the season and will propel them to regular season play. In the Panther's first exhibition the team featured three different lineups, involving the majority of the roster.

This will be the second match-up between the teams, last playing in a 2005 matchup featuring seven goals, a 5-2 UNI victory. Expected to start in goal for the Panthers is Whitney Blunt, an honorable mention selection on the recently released 2016 Preseason Missouri Valley Conference Team.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Cedar Valley Soccer complex in Waterloo, Iowa. Live stats will be available via www.UNIPanthers.com.
