Meet true freshman Abby Gerrits. The 5-10 guard comes to UNI from Pewaukee High School from Pewaukee, Wis.
Q: What made you choose UNI?
A: I chose UNI because of the program and the coaching staff.
Q: When did you decide you wanted to play college basketball and why?
A: I decided I wanted to play basketball in college when I started playing AAU probably around 8th grade.
Q: What is your favorite part about the sport of basketball?
A: My favorite part of basketball is being a part of a team, the competition and the love of the game.
Q: What are some goals you would like to accomplish in your first year of being a collegiate student-athlete?
A: My goals this first year are to get good grades, and identify my role on the team.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie is The Longest Ride.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: My favorite food is Mac and cheese.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
A: My favorite professional athlete is Aaron Rodgers.
Q: Who has had the biggest impact in your athletic career and why?
A: The person who has had the most impact on my athletic career is Coach Baalke. He was my coach from 5th grade until 12th grade and coached me into being the player that I am today!
