UNI Announces Home Football Kickoff Times

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa football program announced its home kickoff starting times today, with UNI fans getting to cheer on the Panthers five times in the UNI-Dome in 2016.
UNI opens its home schedule against FCS foe Montana on Sep. 10 at 4 p.m. which will air on Panther Sports Network. The game will feature two FCS powerhouses that regularly appear in the Top 25 polls, with UNI's last game against Montana taking place in 2011.
On Oct. 1, UNI will host the Southern Illinois Salukis to begin Missouri Valley Football Conference play, kicking off at 4 p.m. on Panther Sports Network. UNI's annual Homecoming Game will be the Panthers's Purple Pride game and will feature all purple uniforms with fans encouraged to don purple gear that Saturday.
The Panthers will take a two-week break from the UNI-Dome for a pair of road league games before coming back to the Cedar Valley for a showdown against the Missouri State Bears on Oct. 22. The game is set for a 1 p.m. kick on Panther Sports Network during Family Weekend.
To close out the month of October, the defending national champion North Dakota State will come into the UNI-Dome on Oct. 29 for UNI's blackout. The rivalry will kick at 6 p.m. on Halloween weekend where the Panthers will wear all black uniforms with fans to follow suit. The game will air on Panther Sports Network.
Ending UNI's home schedule will be a 4 p.m. kick against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Sat., Nov. 19. The Senior Day game will be featured as part of the MVFC institutional package and will air on MVFC TV and the "Valley on ESPN3."
