MANHEIM, Pa. – UNI wrestler Dylan Peters earned a spot on the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Division I All-Academic Team.

Awarded annually, this year's NWCA All-Academic team comprises 123 student-athletes. For the second year in a row, half of the Division I champions made the team, while two additional runner-ups were included. In all, 36 All-Americans, including Peters, were All-Academic selections, which is up from last year's 28.
Of the 123, 108 of the student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Division I championships, up from 96 in 2014-15.
Peters suffered a severe injury in early December, but he fought back to take second at the MAC Championships and earn his third trip to the NCAA tournament. He finished sixth at the national tournament to become the 33rd Panther to earn at least two All-American titles.
He notched first-period falls against No. 5 Ryan Millhof of Oklahoma and No. 14 Josh Rodriguez of North Dakota State at the national tournament to become sixth among all Panthers for the most career falls. He now has 24 first-period career falls.
Peters just wrapped up his junior year and is studying movement and exercise science: sport psychology.
