13 Panthers Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Missouri Valley Conference league office announced its swimming and diving scholar-athlete team on Tuesday. Thirteen Panthers were named to the team, which included two seniors, six juniors and five sophomores.
ÂScholar-Athlete honors require athletes to have completed at least one year and maintain either a 3.2 grade-point average and obtain all-conference honors, achieve a 3.5 grade-point average and finish top-16 in an individual event at the conference championships, or maintain a 3.8 grade-point average and participate in the MVC championship.
ÂDiver Sarah Kemp and swimmer Taylor Ostrowski were the two seniors for UNI that were honored. Juniors Aftin Phyfe, Stephanie Jackson, Veronica Herrmann, Jill Georgen, Alexa Klimes and Autumn Roepsch were honored. Diver Hannah Brummel and swimmers Meredith Gorman, Molly Lembezeder, Olivia Knowles and Lauren Pentzien were the five sophomores honored as scholar-athletes.
