Top-Seeded Panthers Set For MVC Tournament

The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team will enter the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed, playing the winner of game one (Wichita State vs. Bradley, March 10) at noon.
The Series: UNI is 37-35 all-time against Wichita State and 4-2 all-time against the Shockers on a neutral court. UNI evened the all-time series against Bradley this season, making it 34-34 after sweeping the Braves during the regular season. UNI has faced off against Bradley three times on a neutral court, winning all three games.

• UNI won the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title with its 61-48 win over Evansville (3/5), its second regular season championship under the direction of Tanya Warren after also winning during the 2010-11 season.

She is now ranked in the top-25 all-time at UNI in points (No. 21, 1,027), rebounds (No. 11, 648) and blocks (No. 5, 100) through 100 career games.
Scoring Stats: Madison Weekly scored a game-high 20 points against Evansville (3/5), giving her 514 on the season, making her just the eighth player in UNI history to score 500-or-more points in a season. She has scored 20 or more points in four of the last six games, giving her an average of 17.7, ranking her fourth all-time at UNI in season scoring average.
