UNI To Host Drake In WNIT Second Round On Saturday

The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team will host the Drake Bulldogs for the second time this season on Saturday, March 19 when they compete in the second round of the WNIT. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. CT.
The Series: Drake leads the all-time series between the two teams, 56-23. The series dates back to 1975, Drake's first season of collegiate basketball. UNI is 11-8 against the Bulldogs under the direction of Tanya Warren, including six straight wins between 2010-12. UNI won both regular season games against the Bulldogs this year with Saturday's match-up looking to complete a three-game sweep. This Saturday will mark the fourth time the two teams have met in post-season play, with three previous matches taking place in the MVC Tournament.
