Warren To Donate $25 Per 3-Pointer To Cancer Research Friday

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - University of Northern Iowa women's basketball head coach Tanya Warren will donate $25 for every made three-pointer to cancer research this Friday in UNI's battle against the Drake Bulldogs at 7 p.m. UNI is averaging 7.6 three-pointers a game this season, ranking them in the top-30 in NCAA Division I basketball.
UNI's game against Drake on Friday, Feb. 19 will serve as its annual Pink Game, promoting awarness for breast cancer. It marks the fifth consecutive season that Warren has personally donated to cancer research through made three-pointers at UNI's Pink Game, starting the tradition during the 2011-12 season.
The Panthers will also be auctioning off the four seniors' (Jen Keitel, Sharnae Lamar, Stephanie Davison, Amber Sorenson) pink jerseys. Fans can start bidding on the jerseys following the completion of the game on Friday by emailing JerseyAuction@uni.edu. The bidding will close 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25.
Fans wishing to bid on one of the four jerseys will need to include their full name, phone number, bid amount and jersey number they are wishing to purchase in the email to JerseyAuction@uni.edu. The game against Drake is slated to tip off at 7 p.m. CT in the McLeod Center. For tickets, call (319) 273-4849 or visit www.unitix.uni.edu.
