Women at Play Set for Jan. 28 at Black's Building

The 13th Women at Play event will take place Jan. 28, 2017, in the Skyroom at the Black's Building in Waterloo from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Sandy Benak (State Farm Insurance) is the presenting sponsor of the 2017 Women at Play event.
Women at Play is the Panther Scholarship's club annual celebration of UNI women's athletics. The night will include a silent auction, social, hors d'oeuvres (courtesy of Hy-Vee), live auction and specialty games. This year's special guest is Derek Peth – contestant from ABC's The Bachelorette.
UNI will also honor a pair of student-athletes in Veronica Herrman (swimming and diving) and Madison Weekly (women's basketball) that will receive the Pat Allen Women at Play scholarships.
KWWL's Ally Crutcher and Jerry Gallagher will serve as the hosts for the second straight year.
"We are pumped to be a part of the 2017 Women at Play," Crutcher said. "Last year was an awesome success – it's an honor to help out again this year. This is a gathering of great people and a fantastic athletic department – Go Panthers!"
"Ally and I were so thrilled to be involved in last year's event and are very excited to emcee Women at Play again," Gallagher said. "It is a terrific way to recognize the hard work and dedication of so many UNI student-athletes. Go Panthers!"
