EVANSVILLE, Indiana-- Senior Astrid Santos will play for a first place title at the MVC Individual Championships. Action will begin at 9 a.m tomorrow.
Singles Results
Astrid Santos defeated Marija Mastilovic of Wichita State, 6-0, 6-0 to move to the semifinals.
Savanna Hunt fell to Polina Dozortsea of Southern Illinois, 6-4, 6-3. Hunt will play Nicoli Pereira of University of Evansville for fifth place.
Elvira Lopez fell to Xiwei Cai of Southern Illinois, 7-6 (5), 6-1 in the flight 2 singles.
Sydney Wolfe fell to Ekaterina Donetskova of Missouri State, 6-4, 6-2.
Doubles Results
Lopez/Santos defeated Lomas/Brills of Drake, 8-4 and will play for fifth place.
Stroobant/Wolfe and Kemper/Hunt both received byes and will play for fifth place tomorrow.
