Panthers Sweep Weekly Swim and Dive Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo.- The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving team has swept the weekly honors for the week of Jan. 26.
Sophomore Molly Lembezeder, Peosta, Iowa, continues to make her sophomore season outstanding. In competition against Iowa State over the weekend, Lembezeder took home first-place finishes in the 50 and 100 freestyles, with times of 24.19 and 52.32. Lembezeder teamed up with Madison Rinaldi, Veronica Herrmann Crystal Florman to start the day with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay. The group edged out Iowa State by mere second in that event. Lembezeder continues to compete at the top times in the Valley.
Senior Allie Bey, Forest Lake, Minn., qualified for the Zone "D" Diving Championships over the weekend. This will be Bey's third consecutive appearance at the Zone "D" Diving Championships. Bey had a 1-meter dive score of 260.05 and a 3-meter dive score of 272.55. Bey led all Panthers in the diving events over the weekend.
