Four Earn College Sports Madness FCS All-America

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa football program landed four spots on the 2015 College Sports Madness FCS All-America teams, it was announced today.
Senior Deiondre' Hall earned first-team recognition, while junior linebacker Brett McMakin was named to the second team. Tim Kilfoy was selected to the third-team as a defensive back with Makinton Dorleant also earning third-team votes as a punt return specialist.
Hall, who recently accepted an invitation to the 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl, leads the league in interceptions this season (6) and No. 9 in the FCS in interceptions per game. He also ranks third among FCS active career leaders in interceptions, pulling in 13 during his time as a Panther.
McMakin has continued to be a force for the Panthers at linebacker, ranking in the top-10 in the MVFC in total tackles (110). He is second in the nation in forced fumbles and No. 20 in solo tackles (74). He was named first-team All-Conference this year, tying the school record for fumbles forced in a season with six.
Kilfoy, a Davenport, Iowa native, is a four-year starter for the Panthers at safety, racking up 63 tackles and three interceptions this season. He has 119 interception return yards this year, ranking him eighth all-time at UNI in return yards in a season. He also returned one of his picks for a touchdown, tying him for second all-time as a Panther in career pick-sixes.
Dorleant was a dual-threat for the Panthers this year, providing tight coverage on defense and big yards as a return specialist. He averaged 14.2 yards per punt return this season, ranking him second all-time at UNI. He is currently No. 4 in the FCS in punt return yards (298) after returning a punt 90 yards for a touchdown against Southern Illinois.
The Panthers will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 12 when they travel to Fargo, N.D. to take on North Dakota State in the quarterfinal round of the FCS playoffs. The game is set for an 11 a.m. kickoff and will air on ESPN.
